Where the Adventure
Starting Prep is a big, exciting step. At ACC Moreton, our Prep program is designed to make this first year of school a joyful one. In our warm and nurturing classrooms, learning happens through play, discovery, and laughter. Our dedicated teachers guide your child’s natural curiosity, creating a space where they feel safe to explore, make new friends, and build a positive foundation for their entire school journey.

Building Strong Foundations
Our Prep year is about more than just fun; it’s about preparing children for success in Year 1 and beyond. Through engaging activities, we introduce the foundations of literacy and numeracy, spark creativity, and develop social skills. As a valued part of our primary school, Prep students join in with assemblies and events, which builds their confidence and helps them feel right at home in the school environment.

The Best Possible Start
By the end of Prep, students feel like they truly belong, are confident with school routines, and are excited for Year 1. This positive start ensures they are ready to thrive. We invite you to visit our Prep classrooms and see our happy, nurturing community for yourself.
Our Welcoming
Prep Process
Our goal is to make the transition to Prep as smooth and stress-free as possible for your child and your family. We've designed a process that allows your child to get to know our school environment, teachers, and future classmates in a fun and gentle way.

Prep Play Sessions
The first step is a fun, 30-minute play session on campus. While your child interacts with our wonderful Primary Team in a small group setting, our teachers will observe and assess their readiness in a relaxed environment.

Interview & Outcome
Following the play session, you may be invited to an interview with our Head of Primary. You can expect to receive a decision on enrolment within 10 days of the interview.

Prep Orientation Day
This is a chance for you and your child to meet all our Prep teachers, the Head of Wellbeing. We'll run fun activities with the students while we discuss what Prep looks like and answer any questions you may have.

Experience Days
Throughout Term 4, your child is invited to visit the classroom for an hour every fortnight. This helps them get comfortable in their new environment and begin to build friendships with their classmates and teachers.

Bump-Up Day
Just before the school year ends, your child will attend school for a partial school day (8:30am-10:30am) of fun learning activities, giving them a taste of what their school day will be like.

Onboarding Day
In the week before school begins, students visit their classroom to get familiar with their space and get their devices set up.
