With its convenient location near Caboolture, community amenities and attractive lifestyle, Bellmere continues to be a sought-after place to call home. In fact, more than 5,000 people live in Bellmere and this number continues to grow. It’s part of the Moreton Bay Regional Council.

History of Bellmere

Some believe that the name ‘Bellmere’ originated from Arthur John Bell, a landowner in the local area. He donated two acres of his land to the Queensland Government on which the original Bellmere State School was built and opened in 1913.

Bellmere dates back to the early settlement period when pioneers first established agricultural and trading communities. Over the years, Bellmere has evolved into a vibrant residential neighbourhood.

Bellmere only has one school, Bellmere State School, which opened in 2016. It is a primary school with a special education program. There are several public and private schools in Caboolture, including Australian Christian College - Moreton. Caboolture is within a short drive from Bellmere.

Located toward the western boundary of Bellmere is the Strawberry View Coffee Shack. This is a destination cafe located on a working strawberry farm. The cafe overlooks the strawberry patch and boasts views through to the Glass House Mountains.
