The name 'Banksia Beach' has its origins from the beautiful Banksia trees that line the area's coastal landscape. Banksia Beach has only one school, Banksia Beach State School, which was established in 1992. It is an independent public primary school offering Prep through to Year 6. There are several public and private schools in Caboolture, including Australian Christian College - Moreton. Caboolture is within a short drive from Banksia Beach.
