Student Assistance

Because Every
Student Matters

At ACC Distance Education, support is more than a program. It's a posture. We don't believe students can thrive in learning without first feeling safe, seen and supported. That's why care sits at the centre of everything we do.

Whether your child is navigating learning challenges, personal struggles, anxiety, illness, or simply adjusting to a new way of schooling, we're here to walk alongside them with calm, consistent support that reflects our values and affirms their worth.

Support That Meets Students Where They Are

We understand that Distance Education can sometimes feel isolating, especially for students who are anxious, recovering from a tough experience, or adjusting to change. Our team helps bridge that gap through:

Care conversations
via video or phone

Virtual meetups
where appropriate

Communication with families to offer reassurance and practical steps

Helping students feel known, not just as learners, but as people

No student is ever "just online." They are part of a caring,
connected school, and we make sure they feel that.

Wellbeing Check-Ins with Pulse

One of the simple ways we support student wellbeing is through Pulse, a short weekly check-in where students can reflect on how they're feeling.

Each check-in takes less than a minute and gives students a safe, familiar space to let us know if they need support. If a student indicates they're struggling, Pulse helps connect them with someone they trust, like a counsellor, teacher, or member of our care team.

It’s a quiet but powerful way to ensure students feel seen and supported, even from a distance.

Meet The Learning Enrichment Team

Our Learning Enrichment Team works to support students with diverse learning needs. While Distance Education naturally provides more flexibility, some students may benefit from:

Adjusted
learning tasks

Extended
timelines

Personalised
feedback strategies

Customised
Learning
Support Plan

We also guide families in accessing external specialists
when more significant support is needed.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

No matter your reason for choosing Distance Education, we're here to support your whole child, including their learning, their wellbeing, and their sense of belonging.

Because at ACC Launceston, support isn't just available. It's built in.
