At ACC Benalla, learning goes far beyond the classroom. Co-curricular opportunities are a vital part of how we nurture each child’s growth — academically, spiritually, and personally. These aren’t just extras; they’re intentionally designed experiences that help students discover who they are, build lasting relationships, and thrive with purpose.
Whether it’s tending the garden, singing in the choir, riding horses, or playing sport, students are invited into meaningful, hands-on learning that supports their development in every way.
A Garden Full of
Growth
Our permaculture garden is more than just garden beds and chicken eggs — it’s a place of care, discovery, and hands-on learning. Students take part in every step, from planting to harvesting, learning responsibility and the rhythms of creation.
It’s also a peaceful space where students collaborate, reflect, and feel the reward of their efforts. The garden nurtures more than produce; it cultivates patience, pride, and a deep respect for God’s world.
Equestrian
Program
ACC Benalla's equestrian program offers students a unique chance to represent the school statewide. For students with their own horses who wish to compete, it fosters skill, confidence, and character.
Riders, from beginners to experienced, develop discipline, focus, and responsibility. The horse-rider bond builds trust and empathy, challenging students physically and emotionally to become more capable, courageous, and grounded.
Sport: Teamwork,

Sport is a key part of life at ACC Benalla. Our students have many opportunities to compete at interschool competitions and our exciting House Sporting Carnivals.
More than just games, sport builds resilience, teamwork and school spirit. Every opportunity to compete is an opportunity to learn, grow and be part of something bigger.
Performing Arts:
Where Confidence
Finds Its Voice
Creativity is encouraged and celebrated through music and performance. Our Primary Choir invites Years 3–6 students to sing at school and community events, helping them grow in confidence and joy.
We also offer private music lessons, with specialist teachers providing tuition in instruments such as piano, guitar, violin, and voice — giving students space to develop their talents in a supportive, faith-filled environment.
