About the presenter

Amelia McMurray completed her Bachelor of Education (Primary) at Charles Sturt University and continued her studies by completing a Master of Educational Leadership in School Education at Macquarie University. Her previous appointments were within the Anglican Schools Corporation, where she taught for 12 years, and in various schools across the Department of Education. In addition to working alongside and inspiring young people, Amelia is passionate about the arts, music, history, her family and the Gospel. On the weekends, you will find her on a road trip, walking and exploring coffee shops and local markets.

While we will be explaining the basics of educational psychology and cognitive science, we will do so in a parent-friendly manner.

My child doesn’t attend Australian Christian College, is this an issue?

Not at all. You’re welcome to benefit from attending the webinar without obligation. Obviously, we’d appreciate it if you kept ACC in mind if you’re ever looking for a school in the future.

I’m not a Christian, will the webinar still be relevant to me?

The methods being shared to help children read are not explicitly Christian in nature, and so the webinar contents are applicable regardless of your worldview.

How long is the webinar?

Please allow 30 minutes. The content takes about 20 minutes to present, plus we allow for 10 minutes of FAQ.
