Sam Woods

Principal

Sam grew up in the Hawkesbury area of Western Sydney, where he completed his Masters Degree in teaching. Sam, his wife Chloe and newborn son moved to North East Victoria in 2014 pursuing work and have stayed ever since. They now have three school aged children and live on a small rural property. The family love to spend quality time enjoying the splendour of God's creation. Sam is passionate about Christian Education. It is his desire to see children and families impacted by the power of the 'Lived Gospel' and wants every student at ACC to be suitably equipped for their God-given calling.

Alison Stephens

Primary Teacher

From a young age Alison practised teaching her brother and anyone else who happened to be near. At the age of 15 she was the coordinator of the Sunday School, a role she kept for over 40 years. Alison moved into Christian Education when her eldest daughter started school and has since had many varied and wonderful roles in 3 Christian Schools. Ministering to children has been a lifelong vocation. Alison is currently passionate about teaching structured systematic phonics to children and staff and serving her local semi rural community in any capacity that God brings her way.

Dale Stebbins

Secondary Teacher

Dale completed a Bachelor of Teaching (Health, P.E and Mathematics) and a Bachelor of Exercise Science at ACU Melbourne. He had the privilege to work as a School Chaplain in the King Valley before starting to teach at ACC Hume in 2022. Dale is passionate about seeing Jesus glorified in all of life and attends Enjoy Church Wangaratta. He enjoys many kinds of sports and a rigorous game of chess! You will often find him and his wife travelling, camping or meeting people at cafes.

Ellie Werner

Primary Teacher

Born and raised in Kyabram, Ellie's heart remains connected to her country roots despite her move to Melbourne at a young age. Inspired by her own positive experiences in school and the dedication of her teachers, Ellie embarked on a career path driven by a lifelong passion for learning and teaching. Currently residing on a rural property with her husband and three young children, Ellie finds joy in tending to her garden. Her deep commitment to children's well-being drives her to equip and empower them to fulfill their God-given potential.

Emily Roe

Primary Teacher

Emily has always loved working with children. She felt led to use her God-given gifts and love of learning to contribute to the world of education. Emily seeks to bring her passions for story, music, drama, nature and creativity into the classroom to inspire and enlighten young minds. In her spare time, Emily enjoys singing, playing piano, ukulele and guitar, ballroom dancing, reading, playing badminton, spending time outdoors and fellowshipping with friends. It is Emily's greatest joy to share in and support the learning journeys of her students each and every day.

Janeke Swanepoel

Secondary English Teacher

Mrs Swanepoel joined our team this year as the new Sport Coordinator straight from South Africa. She completed a Bachelors of Sport Science in 2006 and a Post Graduate in Education, and was part of their State Hockey team in 2002 and 2003. She is passionate about health and sports development and has been very busy creating the same enthusiasm amongst our students. She loves being a mum to her 2 children, and in her spare time enjoys reading, exercising, drinking coffee and cleaning to worship music playing full blast.

Jeff Loh

Secondary teacher

Jeff's diverse background and experiences have shaped his journey as an educator. With 15 years of service as a linguist-translator in various parts of the world, including the Sahara Desert and Southeast Asia, he developed a deep understanding of different cultures. Jeff has also served in various pastoral roles within churches. After moving to Australia in 2002 with his children, he joined the Australian Christian College in 2020 as a teacher, specializing in LOTE and HASS subjects. Jeff's international perspective and passion for education enrich the learning environment for his students.

Susie Galloway

Literacy Support Teacher

Susie's passion for teaching began at a young age, and she pursued her dream of becoming a Primary School teacher. After working as a Prep teacher on the Mornington Peninsula, she furthered her studies and became a Primary School Chaplain. Returning to her hometown in north-east Victoria with her daughter, Susie now enjoys being surrounded by family and friends in the beautiful community. As a Literacy Support Teacher, she combines her love for teaching with a focus on empowering students with additional needs to reach their fullest potential.

Tristian Wilson

Primary Teacher

Tristan has been teaching at ACC since 2023. Prior to his career in education, Tristan spent over two decades working in the outside broadcast industry as an audio and communications engineer. With his technical expertise and love for teaching, Tristan brings a unique perspective to the classroom and is passionate about helping his students develop their skills and achieve their goals. In his free time, Tristan enjoys attending and serving at his local church, spending time with his family and friends, and playing guitar.
