About the role

An opportunity exists to work in a committed Christian team. You will report directly to the Principal and work closely with the Principal to achieve the College mission.

This position is expected to start Term 1 2022.

About you

  • You have suitable qualifications and experience in a similar role in education. You will be responsible for:
    • day to day personal assistance to the College Principal to ensure all staff within the Day School and Distance Education units are supported and contacted as requested;
    • maintaining of the College Principal’s diary, receipting & screening of calls, including the further arranging of appointments and meetings;
    • provide a concise secretarial service for listed meetings throughout the calendar year,
    • being the contact point for agenda items, minute creation and distribution of information for action;
    • general administrative duties which may include, filing, flights, accommodation, hire cars, and backup reception duties;
    • other special projects, functions and deliverables as required from time to time by the College Principal;
    • advertising of new staff including the resume receipt and screening process on behalf of the College Principal and Department Heads;
    • manage HR needs including but not limited to: Job applications, screening, checklists, employee packs, training material, teacher registrations and renewals;
    • Blue Card checks and applications;
    • assist the front desk in a polite and concerned manner when dealing with parents, students and visitors;
  • You possess a capacity to work in a growing school with a calm but very professional Christian manner.
  • You’re highly motivated and able to work independently, solving problems before they become issues for the Principal.
  • You’re confident in the use of technology.
  • Your writing and editing skills must be of the highest standard.
  • You will have a great attention to detail.
  • You have a servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.
  • You will have a dynamic and outgoing personality.
  • You will be highly organised with strong human management skills.
  • You will be highly empathetic and able to consider the needs of families while progressing the delivery of service in a timely manner.
